Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down. I’ll go grab you a large mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a beautiful day, though somewhat breezy and slightly chilly. It is sunny though. And nice, after the heat of the summer. Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being on Cape Cod.
I have been down here since Wednesday night. Yes, I work from here since I telework full time. I did a nice kayak paddle on Thursday after work. I’ve had a few walks and I did a nice run this morning. It is so interesting running on the flat! My run in New Hampshire is super hilly, and yet I run a mile further (over 1.5 km). I do run faster here, so there is that. I could add on that mile at the end, but I think there is a psychological thing when I get to my house.
Hello and Welcome! Sit down and enjoy the great view into the woods while I get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is more than a little nippy this AM, so you need something piping hot! I have on jeans for the first time since early-June! And real socks!! OK, Thursday it got to 85 F/29 C while last night it got down to 46 F/7 C, so it went from summer to fall pretty much over night! It is a beautiful day and will warm up a bit, though will feel like autumn. And where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo as being from New Hampshire.
I came back from Cape Cod on Sunday. Since Monday was a holiday and I left very early, the traffic was almost non-existent, though what was out there was ultra-aggressive. I spent a lot of time outside for the rest of the day on Sunday and did a long walk in nearby woods on Monday.
Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit at the table! It is a gorgeous day. Yesterday was warm and very humid, so sticky. Today is cooler and the humidity has gone down quite bit. There is a nice breeze, but not too windy. Here, let me get you a nice large mug of a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. Where are we? Some may recognize that back yard photo as being on Cape Cod.
Some of you may remember that I was on “The Cape” last weekend as well. Guess what? I have been here every day in between. Not just that, I had time off of work, so it was a kind of “staycation”. It did rain Wednesday and Thursday, but overall a nice time down here. Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome! Take a seat and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is warmish, but humid, so I won’t say anything if you’d rather have a cold drink. It is kind of funny out and they are predicting rain and thunder storms, but so far we’ve been missed. If it does rain, we can move a couple of chairs and a side table under the overhang. I don’t know if you can call this a porch or what (protected side of the barn). Oh, so where are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod. Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome! A thunderstorm is about to hit (good, we need rain!) so lets stand on the porch and wait for it to blow over before we sit at the table. Yeah, I’ll get some towels and such so we don’t get wet seats. It started as a gorgeous day, after a very nice week – warm, but not overly hot, nice cold nights. Perfect. It is going to get hot the next few days, but with cool nights. Autumn is in the air, and it definitely feels like late August! Where are we? This was an odd week. Very busy at work. I took care of dogs. I ran and exercised. Ate, slept ;) Typical. And did I say work was busy? Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome. Let’s go back and sit down here and enjoy the breeze. It is a little cooler and less humid than it has been, but the breeze still feels great. The noise? Oh, yeah, there are people working on the house and barn right now. Those big bundles are siding shingles, but they still have prep-work. We can ignore the workers and I’ll get you a nice large mug of very strong coffee, some tea or some other beverage. It is getting later and warmer, so I can get you something cool if you would rather. Were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.
This week has been pretty good. There were a few very hot days, but this has been a hot summer, and it hasn’t been too out of bounds for August. One good thing is that we had a little cooler weather and the nights aren’t bad, so I won’t complain too much. I will say that there are reasons I live in New Hampshire and Massachusetts instead of Florida! Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome! Let’s go over here to the table and look off in the woods. Beautiful, isn’t it? the large hill, all green? Of course you can see the trails the dogs have made, with a little help from yours truly. It is a beautiful day. It will get warm (86 F/30C), but not super humid, so nice. Right now, though, it is still cool. Cool and green. Where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo as being from New Hampshire.
It was a busy week. Most are ;) There was work, of course. I did a lot of writing. Stuff around the house. The tropical storm missed us, but we still had a bout of strong winds. Thankfully the storm pulled all of our humidity with it! It was hot (mid 90s F) and super humid, so a few cool days were welcome! Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome! Come on back into the back yard. I know, it looks like a construction zone. Well, it is a construction zone.. Anyway, we can sit here and look off towards the water, though the trees are in the way. Later we can take a walk down to the landing, but for now I will get you a nice large mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. Well, it is almost noon and warm, so perhaps a cool beverage would be better. Were are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.
OK, so I am on Cape Cod this weekend. i came down here on Wednesday. I’ve been on the kayak a couple of times. In fact, I did a very long paddle this morning. I saw osprey and seals, among other critters. I’ve also been swimming a couple of times.
It has been hot and steamy this week. Very humid. Not the most comfortable, but then, it is that time of year. As we enter August, i can look forward to cooler nights. Continue reading →
Hello and Welcome! Come on over to the table and have a seat. Why don’t you take a seat looking into the woods? Sure, the hill looks like a huge wall of green right now, but if you look closely you can see detain ;) And there are flowers closer at hand. The hummingbirds make frequent visits, unless I have my camera… Comfy? OK, I can get you a strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is warm right now, so maybe something cool. Where are we? Some of you may recognize the picture at the top as being from new Hampshire.
It has been a hot July. We had a slight respite the last couple of days, but it is getting warm again. It will be over 96 F/36 C on Monday, but with super high humidity so a “feel like” temperature ten degrees warmer. I’m ready for autumn!
Hello and Welcome! Come on into the back yard and I’ll get you a nice mug of a super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, or perhaps something cool. It is warm and sunny, though the back in nicely shaded and there is a breeze. Perfect to sit and sip our beverages. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo at the top as being ob Cape Cod.
I drove down here late Wednesday. I had to work Thursday and Friday, but was still able to get out a bit, including a paddle on the kayak. I went running bright and early this morning and then drove to the other side of town to take a long walk on my favorite beach. I left to return home a little before 9 AM, and yet the traffic was backed up a mile waiting to get onto the beach! The other beach just down the road (the more popular one) was closed by shortly after 8. Yeah, I forget what high season is about! Continue reading →
