If We Were Having Coffee on the 13th of July, 2019

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, or some other beverage, warm or cold.  We’ll go out back and sit at the new teak table and enjoy the sun and breeze.  It is a gorgeous day!  I’ve already kayaked for a couple of hours and need to relax.  Were are we?  If the reference to kayaking didn’t clue you in and you missed the photo at the top, we are on Cape Cod.

So, were where we?  A few weeks ago I had a semi-vacation here on the Cape.  Entertaining a hyperactive 10 year old is not really a vacation, but…  And then I went to Ohio to visit family.  I also visited with an old friend.  There was a band concert by the Cleveland Orchestra Band for the 4th at Blossom, along with fireworks.  There was watching eagles and then canoeing at Old Woman’s Creek.  There were many walks in Mill Hollow.  And on and on.  Over all a good visit.

And then it was back to reality.  I spent a lot of time catching up at work (I did work several days in the middle of my “vacation”.)  I had massage on Wednesday. much needed after a month!  I came down to the Cape on Thursday evening and worked here yesterday.  I caught up with two other old friends, at least briefly.

Anyway, I have a lot on my agenda for the day.  I have to get up and start moving again.  I will try to stop by all of the other coffee shares, but no promises.

I hope you are having a great weekend and have a good week ahead!

The Weekend Coffee share is hosted by Eclectic Ali .  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here.

Funny, I only went to Blossom a few times when I lived in the region. It is a nice place. The summer is going good. I hope it is for you as well :)

I have been pretty busy, which is good, but I haven’t been writing very much since April, which is bad. I do write stories for the prompts, but don’t feel overly inspired.

I hope you had a great weekend.

We had a nice weather day today ourselves; no water sports but we did have a park date with friends. Your semi-vacation sounds like it was fun. Back to reality is always the challenging part. Have a great week!

I like to continually being “doing” and have a hard time being passive. “Doing” can be sitting on a mountaintop – if I hiked there, not drove, and only for a while before I need to start moving again. I can relax there under those terms ;) But I get very burned out being around people and busy in the traditional sense. I hope you are having a great weekend!

It is very lovely. There are some problems with “high summer”, like there being a lot more people, which is why I like autumn here – still warm enough to swim, but no people and cool nights. I hope you can get out of the hot, humid southeast next summer. Have a great week.
