Follow Me #nonet

I cannot escape you if i try
Roaming farther in the morning
Very close now it is noon
A ghost in broad daylight
Constant companion
Fair weather friend
Smiles in light
Sun child

Written for Colleen’s Poetry challenge.  Each week she gives us two keywords, only we must use synonyms only, not the words themselves.  This week was a “free week” where we could choose our own words.  My two words were “spirit” and… guess ;)  This week I decided to try a nonet.

The photo obviously has nothing to do with the poem, but ;)  WP is not letting me look at my photos – I can only see the last handful.

Thanks. Spohr is on youtube too. Am listening to it now. kind of mozart like. About your own shadow following you I’ve seen kids sometimes trying to get rid of it, with no success of course!

Lovely poem. I had never heard of nonet. Shall check out. But, tell me, you’re being haunted by a ghost? is that so? Try telling her/him out loud to “go home” … or do you enjoy being haunted? As a writer you can be “haunted” by your own characters, yes, that makes you feel less lonely. I agree.

When I think of “nonet” I think of a piece of music for 9 instruments or voices (watch the movie “A Mighty Wind” ;) ), but I have found it is poetry in the form that I used. Thanks. I think it is mostly that I was using my work computer at work…
