Today #tanka #haiku

It’s a slate grey day
Relentless cold rain beats down
Summer is long gone
I want to go through a book
Curled up on a nice warm couch

See the wet cool words
Mild but not agreeable
November showers

Written for Colleen’s Poetry challenge.  Each week she gives us two keywords, only we must use synonyms only, not the words themselves.  The words this week are “Pleasant” and “Read“.  This week I wrote a Tanka and a Haiku.

And yes, 40 F (4 C) and pouring rain today – my least favorite weather.

It looks like 5″ of snow Thursday into Friday – I’m not ready! And it will be low teens on Wednesday night. Brrr. Still, to me there is no colder weather than 40 and pouring… Thanks, Colleen!
