If We Were Having Coffee on the 27th of October, 2018

Coffee in NH with Moog

Hello and Welcome.  Come on in out of the cold rain and I’ll get you a steaming mug of very strong Sumatra Roast, a cuppa tea or other hot beverage.  You’ll need it!  October started very warm, but his is perhaps the coldest October I can remember.  And wettest – no October Blue skies, my favorite.  The leaves went from off-green to on the ground almost over night, so the least pretty color I’ve ever seen.  Can you tell this has not been a good October for me?  Most expensive one in my life as well, but that is a different story.  OK, enough complaining….  Where are we?  Some of you may recognize that photo at the top as coming from New Hampshire.

I’m sorry, but this coffee share will be pretty short.  Or perhaps you will be thankful, since they are often long.

I wrote about a little community, three house dinner party I attended in my Weekly Smile this week.  Besides that, my after work hours have gone by in a bit of a daze.  I accomplished almost zero.  OK, a months worth of laundry since we finally received our new drier on Wednesday.  And there was Lion’s club on Tuesday.  Not enough sleep any night.  Dogs.  Life.  Etc.

Work was super busy.  We had an issue that drove me crazy all week.  I finally did a “nuclear option” and fixed it on Friday.  This was an issue that went all of the way up the chain.  OK, I doubt if the President heard about it, but at least one Cabinet member did…  No stress here ;)

Today is our Lion’s Club big fund raiser for the year.  It is a busy day, starting around noon and going until at least 10 PM.  In ways it is very satisfying, so I am not complaining, but it is tiring.

I posted the blurb for my upcoming book of short stories, Embers, yesterday.  I may still tweak it a little.

And that’s about it.  I have a huge amount that I have to do around the house before I go over to set up for our Penny Sale.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop in and say “Hi!”  I can’t make promises since this weekend will be so busy.  Have a great week ahead!

The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived!  Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share.  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in!  Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory!

It has been ages! I hope you are doing well. I know I had a hard time keeping up with your blog when you were more active because I couldn’t make it show up in my feed. Anyway, let me know if you do start it up again and I’ll make sure I stop by. I hope all is well over in France.

Thanks. Well, it is supposed to hit 60 on Thursday, but most of the week will still be colder than average. And it shows showers every day next week. Oh well, maybe we’ll have a nice late November…
