Shielding for Your Weather – #Tanka

Storm-Clouds

Wild tempest does rage
Hail, sleet and rain envelops all
Darkness smothers soul
Take shelter in my haven
Shield of warm against the storm

This was written for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge.  The key words today were “Cover” and “Precipitation”.  Following her suggestion, I didn’t use the words, I used only synonyms.

Thanks. As the poem was taking shape, I thought of this image and knew it was the one I was going to use. A spring storm was blowing in and I took the photo with my phone out of my kitchen window.

I try to mark any images that aren’t mine, so 98% of the time, if there is no attribution, the drawing or photo or whatever is mine. (2% in case I’ve made a mistake here or there ;) ) Thanks!
