I wasn’t around much last week, so I didn’t really have as much time to follow your smiles as I would have liked. With a week that hatred and violence dominated the news, I do need to concentrate even more on the smiles. We need to smile at each other more. I truly believe there are more of us out there than there are those with bigotry and hatred. One of the things I smile about the most is how open this little corner of the blogsphere can be. There are no borders, no boundaries. Different skin color is something to celebrate, not hate. People of different religions speak freely with each other as friends. Gay, straight, trans, or any of the rainbow collection of sexuality, all are welcome with an open hand. If I find a blog that discriminates, i don’t follow it, and luckily, nobody has ever posted a nasty comment on my blog. If they did, it would be gone. This is a great group of people here and it makes me smile :)
So, back to YOUR smiles :) Here are some of the things people have been smiling about this week:
Blog Woman posted a smile about dancing with her family at the powwow.
Note – the Weekly Smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning. I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST. I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder. People can and do join throughout the week. Sometime Wednesday morning before I post a new smile, I will post a Smile Recap of the week before. have fun and Smile! :)
