I Want Your Smile! #weeklysmile 71

Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile

Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile

Smiling about work may seem odd to some, but I think we have to smile about it.  I mean, we spend a third of our lives there, well over half of our time if you including getting ready, driving, and mental time, at least during the work week we do.  If you can’t smile about work, try to find another job.  Try your very, very hardest.  It is well worth having a job you like.

A group of “executives” came to our region office on Thursday.  The RO is 20 or 25 miles down the road from my normal work, but on a weekday morning, the traffic on Rt 3 through Massachusetts is awful and it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending.   But it was worth it.

I’m typically the shy, introvert that likes to be in the back of the room where nobody will notice, but I always like to be heard and seen in these types of situations.  And I was.  They have video meeting on occasion, but I hate those.  The face to face though…  And then there was seeing all of the people at the RO that I know but haven’t seen in ages.  And the whole thing.

That was my second smile this week, a visit with the IT executive team.

So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!

Note – the weekly smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning.  I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST.  I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder.  People can and do join throughout the week.

“Most of the time” is perhaps healthier than all of the time ;) I think most of us have those days that we don’t want to go in, or count how many years, months, etc. until we are eligible to retire. But as long as we do enjoy it to some extent most of the time, then we are doing well.
