Sunday already! In just a few hours I’ll have to start getting ready for work. But for now I can think about the weekend. Like the walk I took in the woods the yesterday. It was a couple of miles and it was woods, so perhaps it was a hike, but I usually call anything that doesn’t involve a mountain a walk ;)
It was a hot and steamy afternoon. The dogs had been out a few times, but would quickly wear out. I put them in the car and we went the mile to Bells Neck in Harwich. There’s a fresh water pond, a brackish water pond, a tidal river and large expanses of salt water marsh. It is also a wooded area, very pretty. And very cool, at least compared to the surrounding landscape. In some places there were nice breezes. Even though this is high season on Cape Cod and the whole place seems overrun with people, we saw very few on our walk. It was so quiet and peaceful. The dogs were well behaved and obviously enjoyed being out. It brought a big smile to my face.
What made you smile this week? There is still time, you can tell us about it! Or check out the other smiles.
If you haven’t seen it, here is a little background to The Weekly Smile as well as some quick guidelines.
So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!
