Hello! Welcome! Come on in and sit down. I’ll get you a nice strong mug of French Roast or a cup of tea. Thinking of mugs, by the Beatles mugs I’m sure some of my more normal visitors know I’m on Abbey Road… I mean, I’m on Cape Cod where this collection lives.
Thinking of Cape Cod, this morning I ran in the Cape Cod Canal Annual 10 K. My time wasn’t great, partially due to my stretched hamstring hampering my training, but I won’t complain. I’m not sure of the official time yet, but I put it at about 47 minutes, 40 seconds. So not awful but not superstar. And no hamstring issues during the run thanks partially to how flat it was and also thanks to Dottie’s help.
It was another busy week. I worked longer hours this week which. Again, I can’t complain, and this next week will make up for it. Why? You’ll have to wait for next weekends coffee share to find out ;)
Blogging was strange. I didn’t have a post on Monday so I had a total of 10 views. I did post every other day this week, but the numbers still stayed very down, with Wednesday being just slightly below average, but Tuesday and Thursday struggling to get to the double digits. But for some reason I had quite a bit more views on Friday than the rest of the week combined.
I think part of the reason for the low numbers had to do with what I posted. As I said, I started slow by missing Monday. Tuesday morning I had an idea for a story and whipped it up real quick and posted. Of course it turned out to be just an introduction to a story and still clocked in at over 1800 words. I continued the story the rest of the week, putting up parts 2, 3 and 4. All of them are long and they HAVE to be read sequentially. I usually put up links to all of my posts for the week in my coffee share posts, but today I’m just going to link to the first chapter, The Halley Branch (Part 1).
How was your week? Anything exciting happen? Are you having a good summer? If you join in the coffee share I’ll try to stop by and see!
It is a beautiful day and I’m going to go out and enjoy it! I mean, that’s why I stay down here on Cape Cod, isn’t it? I’m glad you could join me!
