Hi and welcome to another coffee chat! By the cup you can see I’m in New Hampshire. So grab a large cup of French Roast or beverage of your choice (no alcoholic please, it’s too early for the harder stuff) and let me know what’s happening in your part of the world, or at least your part of blog-land.
It has been both busy and quiet around here. The holiday season is always a little hectic, but since we don’t have children it is easy to step back from it all and take some quiet time out.
Well, we do have furry and feathered children. We keep warning Fiyero about Santa Claus but he still stays as active and mischievous as always. And Albert thinks it’s his duty to be pressed up against me all night, sometimes waking me with loud purring.
I’ve been trying to get into a bit of an exercise routine again. I do a little strength training and was able to get out running twice this week. A big change is that I’m starting to learn basic yoga moves and breathing techniques. I have a friend who is very involved in yoga who will help me get set up in a class at a local studio.
I’ve been getting a little more involved in my music and have made a few little test recordings. Nothing extravagant, but it’s still fun. I really want to start drawing again, but time seems so limited.
I never watch TV, but I did watch the last Cobert Report. Steven will be missed.
Well, that’s all I have time for. I hope you all have a good week.

Note – I’ve seen the “Having Coffee” posts several times, I think starting with Part Time Monster, which now is often hosted at Just Gene’O. I also see it every week at Nerd in the Brain and often on Thoughts by Mello-Elo. It seems to be spreading but I don’t have space to list every coffee post I’ve seen. It’s a feature where the “host” gives an informal talk about their week. This started as a “one-off” for me but I guess I can now say that this is a regular feature of Trent’s World…

Good to know you are giving time to yourself, yoga and breathing technique is a great way to relax. Wish you a happy week ahead Trent :)

Thanks Zee. I hope you have a great week too. Under the assumption you are currently not in school I’m hoping you’re enjoying your time.

I just read your comment on the other post that you don’t have time off. Oh well, at least the stress of exams is over! Hope your week goes well!

Well yesterday they gave us two weeks off because of you know obvious reasons. So I do have chance to recharge my batteries now. Though we have to study everything by ourselves now, it’s a really weird situation here.

I’m glad you get a chance to recharge a little but I’m obviously not too glad about the reasons. I’m sure it’s very tense right now. And if you still have to learn the same material in the same amount of time but without the help of the professors, well, maybe it isn’t as relaxing of a break as you might want. Wishing you the best, as always.

I’ve been coming back to comparative painlessness since my gym morning: anything on top of that would have me comatose, I think ! :-)

When you played clips of you talking I don’t remember your accent being that thick ; ) Or are you saying you’re in terror of tomorrow? Whichever, good luck and I hope you’re not sore at Christmas!

We do sometimes need something to get us going on these Saturday mornings. These “coffee” posts are my time for something very informal.

Something I should have started doing ages ago but never really thought about.
